"Harout, the founder of MARKBOTIX, has successfully built a community around MARKBOTIX, and they are addressing the challenges faced by the disability community. The Ground Robotic Assistant for Care Enablement or GRACE was developed by collaborating with several people with various disabilities. With GRACE, MARKBOTIX is not adapting to the conventional understanding of accessibility. They are revolutionizing independent living and accessibility.

MARKBOTIX acknowledges the value of independence and accessibility for those living with a disability. Most people would be surprised to know that 85% of people with disabilities acquire their disability later in life. They aren't born with it. We are all prone to having a temporary or permanent disability at any time, or dealing with one in our family, and we need to be ready. People with disabilities are often left behind and limited by what's available to them to perform activities of daily living. MARKBOTIX recognizes this significant need of the largest minority group in the world. They are developing assistive robotics and reimagining accessibility and independent living by partnering with the community of people with disabilities."

HAROUT MARKARIAN

After personally experiencing disability challenges within his own family, and friends, Harout's background in engineering and robotics developed into his passion for problem-solving.

With a seasoned background within the aerospace and defense industry, a BS in Mechanical Engineering, a MS in Robotics, and an MBA from Pepperdine University, Harout fervently believes that an accessible world is an inclusive world, and that MARKBOTIX will reimagine the accessible robotics industry.
